My first reaction to hearing that U.D.O had a new live release coming out was one of surprise - after all they released "Live in Sofia" just two years ago, and since then they've only released one album. OK the 2012 release was a live CD whereas this is a DVD/Blu-Ray as well as CDMy first reaction to hearing that U.D.O had a new live release coming out was one of surprise – after all they released "Live in Sofia" just two years ago, and since then they've only released one album. OK the 2012 release was a live CD whereas this is a DVD/Blu-Ray as well as CD release, and there has been a lineup change since 2012, but even so it seemed a bit soon. My main doubt was over the track listing – with only one new album released since "Live in Sofia" would this album be suffiently different to appeal to fans? Well after comparing the two I'm impressed – there is almost no overlap – in fact I think there's only one song that appears on both live releases. That's pretty impressive, and the reason is that the Moscow concert is based heavily on the latest album, Steelhammer, with six tracks from that album included in the live show. U.D.O has then departed from the usual setlists and played a very different set including plenty of songs that don't get played very often.
