Midnight Mob - These Days


@louelladeville_ @planetmosh review of These days by @MidnightMob101 a special limited edition CD released via @stprecords New York based Rock 'n Roll band Midnight Mob formed in February 2009. Fronted by Blackey Deahtproof they have two album releases under their belt. A self titled EP and Black Moon Rising. These Days is a limited edition album released via STP Records in the UK, earlier this year, to get the band some coverage over here. Midnight Mob Citing amongst their influences bands such as GNR, Danzig,Cheap Trick, Social Distortion, Motorhead and T- Rex. Midnight Mob have a powerful sound with Blackey's vocals reminding me of a cross between Debbie Harry and Pink. These Days opens with the track Overdrive which has a 30 Seconds to Mars meets Motorhead feel to it. Starting with a 30 Seconds to Mars type intro then going into something with the speed and impact of Motorhead say Iron Fist. Great rhythm and riffs and some machine gun fast drumming. A great opening, the album continued in the same vein.   I picked up lots of different flavours in These Days so I'll give you a bit of a taster as to what to expect from Midnight [...]
