Maverick to give ‘Quid Pro Quo’ with debut album

Rising Northern Irish hard rockers Maverick have revealed that their debut album will be called 'Quid Pro Quo'. The opus will be released via Massacre Records later this year. The band said of the album title and artwork (right, designed by Gerard Torbitt): "There are several songs on the album that relate directly to 'Quid Pro Quo' andRising Northern Irish hard rockers Maverick have revealed that their debut album will be called 'Quid Pro Quo'. They are themes which run through a good few of the songs on the album…. "The cover is an interpretation of a classical Adam and Eve painting, which signifies creation…. this is similar only representing destruction. The guy on the left is a politician, paying the poor sucker on the right for allegiance, silence or turning a blind eye; the guy on the right represents normal people who are too blind to see the danger of believing authority/government figures without question. Also, note the politician is not being affected by the effects of the blast, whereas the poor guy, the normal every day dude, is being fried.
