Malcolm Young to "take break" from AC/DC

Rock veterans AC/DC have confirmed that rhythm guitarist and founder member Malcolm Young (pictured right) is to take a break from the band on health grounds. After speculation on the internet, the band issued the following statement on their official website and social media outlets: "After forty years of life dedicated to AC/DC, guitarist and founding memberRock veterans AC/DC have confirmed that rhythm guitarist and founder member Malcolm Young (pictured right) is to take a break from the band on health grounds. After speculation on the internet, the band issued the following statement on their official website and social media outlets: "After forty years of life dedicated to AC/DC, guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young is taking a break from the band due to ill health. Malcolm would like to thank the group's diehard legions of fans worldwide for their never-ending love and support. "In light of this news, AC/DC asks that Malcolm and his family's privacy be respected during this time. The band will continue to make music." Singer Brian Johnson previously had confirmed that the band are due to enter a studio in Vancouver, Canada, to begin possible recording sessions for a new album.
