Trucker Diablo go on hiatus

Northern Irish hard rock juggernaut Trucker Diablo have decided to go on a temporary hiatus. The move comes after founder member Simon Haddock last month announced that he had decided to quit music for family reasons:  the guitarist/vocalist played his last gig with the band on Saturday past. Today, fellow guitarist/vocalist Tom Harte announced that he hadNorthern Irish hard rock juggernaut Trucker Diablo have decided to go on a temporary hiatus. The move comes after founder member Simon Haddock last month announced that he had decided to quit music for family reasons:  the guitarist/vocalist played his last gig with the band on Saturday past. Today, fellow guitarist/vocalist Tom Harte announced that he had decided to temporarily apply the brakes, signalling to a temporary break in the group's six year career.  Harte also cited family reasons as a contributing factor to the decision, which he said had been made with a "heavy heart". "I had a sit down yesterday with my partner Cheryl, who has been suffering with an illness that affects her mobility for some time now and has gradually been getting worse over the last few months, which has resulted in Cheryl and my son Caleb suffering from me commiting time to my duties in the band," he explained.
