Guitarist Dick Wagner dies

Former Alice Cooper guitarist Dick Wagner has died at the age of 71, following a short illness. Following a successful session career in and around Detroit, Wagner officially teamed up with Cooper in 1975, co-writing hits such as 'Welcome to My Nightmare' and 'Only Women Bleed':  however, the guitarist had previously played uncredited guitar parts onFormer Alice Cooper guitarist Dick Wagner has died at the age of 71, following a short illness. Wagner had suffered a massive heart attack in 2007.  His death has been attributed to respiratory failure, after he developed a lung affection following surgery to unblock an artery. A statement on Wagner's website said: "It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow we have to let you know that Dick Wagner has left this world.  Dick had a huge heart, which is perhaps why it gave him so much trouble, it was simply too full of love, of music and life.  His creativity and passion will live on forever in the legacy he has left for us, in his music and his words.   We have so much of him to celebrate.
