"Bloodbath at the disco" is the second album from South Wales rock band Psycho Kiss. Like Triaxis (also from South Wales), they have a classic rock/metal sound, although whereas Triaxis are more classic metal, Psych Kiss are more classic hard rock. It's a very good album with no weak tracks on it, but "Why should I care" and "Warpaint" are probably my favourites as Helen Clarke really lets rip and impresses with that great voice. It's a close thing though as there are so many great songs here all sounding great. I also particularly liked "Conspiracy whore" with its lyrics putting the boot into the conspiracy nuts who spread conspiracy theories without a shred of proof to support them. The production is good with the vocals sounding great, the guitars being loud and powerful but never overpowering the vocals, and a good solid sound from the drums and bass – it's all nice and clear and powerful – just what you want.
