The Osiris Club launched on 1st January 2010 in London and have spent four years on this recently released album, 'Blazing World'. This band has a psychedelic/ prog rock mix with a bit of a difference.  Yes, it is a concept album, and, yes, the songs have an underlying story running through them, but there is a bit more to their style. If anything, it has the same effect as a John Carpenter soundtrack as, as I'm listening to this, I have flashes of vampires running through my head. This album has a very hypnotic drum beat running throughout, especially on the track 'The Bell's' when Andrew(Angel Witch) Prestidge, a master of his instrument, incorporates the human heart beat as the backdrop to a song about not living. Not being a big fan of synths myself, I have to say that with the guitars on this album being kept quite soft and alluring and mixed throughout with passionate strings to embellish and fill their sound, I find myself slowly drawn into this album: it is a definite grower.  'Undoing Wrong' has a very dark mysterious message that relays depression and despair – but again the drum beat plays a big [...]
