On Tuesday the 8th of July the world was shaken when the Brazillian football team lost on their home ground to Germany in the 2014 World Cup. However, tonight (whatever night) one man attempted to cure these blues in the only way he knew how – old school heavy metal! And in my opinion, the Brazillian King of Metal, Max Cavalera, along with his band Soulfly, certainly delivered. The day before the concert, it was announced that Lody Kong were to grace the Limelight as the support, and whilst the venue was only partially full during their set it did not stop the four piece from completely tearing the stage apart with their grungy style. What made this band even more special was that it featured two members from the Calavera family, Igor (who took centre stage) and Zyon (son of Max Cavalera) who pounded away on the drums. The youngsters were certainly full of energy as they ploughed through their set – I'd love to know where they get it from!
