LA's classic rock band Heaven & Earth's have announced the dates for their forthcoming debut UK. The band features British guitarist, Stuart Smith who was mentored by Ritchie Blackmore. Bon Jovi guitarist Ritchie Sambora guests on the album - Stuart was married to Heather Locklear's sister, so Ritchie was his brother-in-law! Stuart is also a Special Reserve Officer for the LAPD – one of only 300 people to be given this honour. It came about a few years ago when Stuart apprehended a guy who'd just robbed a store. The robber was beating the security guard up when Stuart stepped in. The robber then started to attack Stuart, but being a martial arts expert, Stuart blocked a punch and, in doing so, broke the robbers arm. Stuart then kept the robber there until the police arrived. The LAPD reviewed the security footage and then contacted Stuart to ask if he'd like to show their boys a few of his moves! That's when they offered him the role of Reserve Officer – which he refused, as he wouldn't cut his hair!
